Frontier Forum: Proving Humanness in the Age of AI
· 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Artificial intelligence is rapidly advancing. As it does, the ability to prove humanness or differentiate between human- and AI-generated content online will be an essential and likely inevitable tool for empowering individuals in this new chapter of human history. While there are various approaches to how a proof of personhood (PoP) might end up being implemented, it is crucial that such an important infrastructure prioritizes privacy, self-sovereignty, inclusivity and decentralization in order to benefit and protect individuals. In this talk, Alex Blania and members of the founding team at Tools for Humanity, a core contributor to the Worldcoin project, will discuss the challenges the ambitious project is trying to solve today via an open identity protocol called World ID. If successful, the World ID protocol could enable new global democratic processes and eventually show a potential path to AI-funded UBI. The team will also provide an inside look at the Orb, an advanced imaging device designed specifically for the Worldcoin project to verify unique humanness at a global scale.
Bio: Alex Blania is the CEO and Co-Founder of Tools for Humanity, the technology company building tools to support the Worldcoin project.
