The Vice Chancellor for Research Office (Research UC Berkeley) supports the campus research enterprise. It provides an Expertise Finder and research units directory, funding resources including contracts and grants, gifts, industry consortia and funding opportunities, and the Berkeley Research Development Office.

For innovators, it points to intellectual property and technology transfer support, core facilities, the Research Infrastructure Commons and research computing, alongside research compliance, personnel and policy services.
