Accelerators & incubators
Berkeley SkyDeck
Berkeley SkyDeck is UC Berkeley's flagship accelerator, formed as a partnership between the Haas School of Business, the College of Engineering and the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research. Since 2012 it has run intensive six-month cohorts, called batches, for startups.
Startups get $200K in investment through the Berkeley SkyDeck Fund, coaching from about 900 advisors and mentors, and introductions to VCs and to enterprise customers through Berkeley's alumni network. SkyDeck also matches students, MBAs and postdocs with startups as interns, and faculty with advisory boards. Programs end with a Demo Day.
