Department of Molecular & Cell Biology

The Department of Molecular & Cell Biology, in the College of Letters & Science, teaches and researches the molecular structures and processes of cellular life, in organisms from viruses and microbes to mammals.

Its research is organized into five divisions: Biochemistry, Biophysics and Structural Biology; Immunology and Molecular Medicine; Cell Biology, Development & Physiology; Molecular Therapeutics; and Genetics, Genomics, Evolution, and Development. The department's academic offerings include the Robinson Life Science, Business, and Entrepreneurship Program, and it runs an Industrial Affiliates Program for industry engagement.
