Open Innovation Labs

Open Innovation Labs is a Haas School of Business initiative that applies academic innovation frameworks to corporate challenges. It is led by faculty including Henry Chesbrough (open innovation), David Teece (dynamic capabilities) and Sara Beckman (value capture), and is hosted by the Institute for Business Innovation.

The Labs run programs for organizations that want to stay competitive, monetize unused internal knowledge, source outside expertise to cut R&D costs, and launch products faster. Berkeley students can join the Open Innovation Squad, which works on real company challenges. The Labs also publish research and convene an Open Innovation Advisory Board of industry members.
