Deep Tech Innovation Lab

The Deep Tech Innovation Lab (DTIL) at UC Berkeley combines education and research to help bring cutting-edge technology to the market and society. It partners with Berkeley Haas, Berkeley Engineering and Berkeley Law.

The lab offers interdisciplinary, learning-by-doing work on cutting-edge projects aimed at complex deep tech challenges, along with analytical tools to support commercialization and research-direction decisions. It serves the Berkeley community, research groups across campus and the wider innovation ecosystem, with a focus on technologies for climate, healthcare and beyond, and hosts events such as Demo Days and the NASA T2U Innovation Series.
