NSF I-Corps Hub Northwest

The NSF I-Corps Hub Northwest runs the Regional NSF I-Corps program for academic researchers and early-stage founders with a tech-based startup or startup idea in Northern California, Oregon, Washington or Alaska. UC Berkeley is among the hub's partner institutions, alongside UCSF, UC Davis, UC Santa Cruz, UC Irvine, the University of Washington, Oregon State University and the University of Alaska.

In its Lean Startup courses, teams of STEM innovators learn to apply the scientific method to business, each course taught by an experienced entrepreneur who gives feedback throughout the week. The hub is directed by Rhonda Shrader, Executive Director of Berkeley Haas Entrepreneurship, and also points teams to the National I-Corps program.
