DESCRIPTION:Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Te
 ch Transfer (STTR) contracts and grants at UC Berkeley involve working wit
 h a small business on a research project where UC Berkeley is the subcontr
 actor to the small business. In this workshop\, we will explore the SBIR/S
 TTR program\, how UC Berkeley researchers have participated in projects\, 
 the process for working with a small business on an SBIR or STTR project\,
  and intellectual property developed with this funding. We will also explo
 re campus resources in the event that you or a researcher in your lab is i
 nterested in starting up a new company and applying for SBIR or STTR fundi
